Notably, 14% of patients with metabolic syndrome showed levels of sTxB2 that suggested inadequate aspirin response, while none of the patients without metabolic syndrome exhibited this issue.

The study has limitations, including its focus on a specific patient population and the potential variability in aspirin formulations. Patients should be aware that their response to aspirin may differ, particularly if they have metabolic syndrome, and should discuss their treatment options with a healthcare professional.
