Overview
Cetirizine hydrochloride tablets are an antihistamine used to temporarily relieve symptoms from hay fever or other upper respiratory allergies. Symptoms listed on the label include runny nose, sneezing, itchy or watery eyes, and itching of the nose or throat.
The label says each tablet contains cetirizine HCl 10 mg. It also warns that drowsiness may occur, and alcohol, sedatives, and tranquilizers may increase drowsiness.
Do not use this product if you have ever had an allergic reaction to cetirizine, any ingredient in the product, or an antihistamine containing hydroxyzine. Ask a doctor before use if you have liver or kidney disease, and ask a doctor or pharmacist before use if you are taking tranquilizers or sedatives.
