Limitations of the study include its cross-sectional design, which does not allow for causal conclusions, and the small sample size, particularly within specific diagnostic categories. There was also a lack of radiological confirmation for the identified fractures. Given these findings, it is essential for caregivers to discuss bone health monitoring with healthcare professionals, especially for children on long-term glucocorticoid therapy. Regular assessments, including DXA scans, may be necessary to manage and mitigate the risks of bone-related complications in this vulnerable population.
