Additionally, combining the ATR with early symptom changes improved prediction accuracy for treatment outcomes.

Despite the promising results, the study has limitations, including a lack of a placebo group and a modest sample size from a single site, which may affect the generalizability of the findings. Patients should be aware that while the ATR biomarker could help guide treatment decisions, it does not guarantee outcomes for all individuals. It is essential for patients to discuss these findings and any potential changes in their treatment plan with a healthcare professional to ensure safe and effective management of their depression.
