For Prescribers

We know that a prescriber’s time is valuable. So, Pill Pals makes prescribing as easy as possible. Here’s some things to keep in mind when using our services:

  • Pill Pals is the Pharmacy Department of Health Pals. This means that Health Pals “does business as” Pill Pals. In most electronic prescribing systems, we are listed as “Pill Pals” and you can find one of locations by typing in the words “Pill Pals”. But, in some electronic prescribing systems, our Pharmacy is listed as “Health Pals DBA Pill Pals”. We have no control over how our information is displayed in electronic prescribing systems. If you are having trouble finding us in your system, please contact us at [email protected]
  • We compound and manufacture drugs; both sterile and nonsterile. We compound non-sterile medications at our pharmacy locations. We manufacture via our FDA Registered Facilities. If you would like more information about obtaining compounded medications, please email us at [email protected]
  • Our Locations Directory helps you find the Pill Pals location closest to you.
  • As a premier Pharmacy Services provider, we utilize e-scribe for the majority of our prescriptions, including Controlled Substances.
  • ALL external (non Health Pals) controlled substance prescriptions (including CII and CIII to CV) must be escribed.
  • ALL external (non Health Pals) controlled substance prescriptions must include a diagnosis code.
  • Some states, such as Kansas, restrict us to sending out only 30 days’ worth of a Controlled Substance at a time, even if it is not a Schedule II (e.g. Phentermine and Phendimetrazine).
  • ALL controlled substances require a valid ID for delivery or mailing. Our courier is required to check ID prior to releasing the medication to the patient. The ID of the person accepting the delivery usually has to be that of an adult, 18 years of age or older.
  • ALL controlled substances require a valid ID when picked up in person. Our team members are required to check ID prior to releasing the medication to the patient.
  • Patients are welcome to pick up their medications in person. If they need assistance, they may email [email protected] or call us at 855.816.7257
