Overview

ASPIRIN 325 MG EC (aspirin) tablet is an enteric-coated aspirin product labeled as a pain reliever and fever reducer. It temporarily relieves headache, menstrual pain, minor pain of arthritis, muscle pain, toothache, and pain and fever from colds.

The label warns that aspirin may cause serious allergic reactions and severe stomach bleeding. It also says children and teenagers with or recovering from chicken pox or flu-like symptoms should not use this product because of the risk of Reye’s syndrome.

The tablet should be taken with a full glass of water. For adults and children 12 years and over, the label directions are 1 to 2 tablets every 4 hours while symptoms last, not more than 12 tablets in 24 hours. Children under 12 years should ask a doctor.

• Take the tablet with a full glass of water.
• This product is labeled for temporary relief of headache, menstrual pain, minor arthritis pain, muscle pain, toothache, and pain and fever from colds.
• Do not use in children or teenagers who have or are recovering from chicken pox or flu-like symptoms.
• Stop use and ask a doctor if you notice signs of stomach bleeding, such as feeling faint, vomiting blood, or bloody or black stools.
• Stop use and ask a doctor if pain gets worse or lasts more than 10 days, fever gets worse or lasts more than 3 days, or if redness or swelling is present in the painful area.
• Ask a doctor before use if you have a history of stomach problems, high blood pressure, heart disease, liver cirrhosis, kidney disease, or asthma.
• Ask a doctor or pharmacist before use if you are taking a prescription drug for diabetes, gout, or arthritis, or any other drug.
• Do not use if you have ever had an allergic reaction to any other pain reliever/fever reducer.
• In case of overdose, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away.
• Do not use if the safety seal under the cap is broken or missing.
