This product has a DailyMed drug label PDF from the National Library of Medicine.
Medication Summary: This section summarizes DailyMed drug label information to make the label easier to understand. It is not a substitute for the official label, pharmacist counseling, prescriber instructions, or medical advice.
This product contains aspirin 81 mg, which is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used for temporary relief of minor aches and pains. Because it is delayed release, it will not provide fast relief for headaches or other symptoms that need immediate relief.
The label warns that children and teenagers who have or are recovering from chicken pox or flu-like symptoms should not use this product because of the risk of Reye’s syndrome. Aspirin may also cause a severe allergic reaction and can cause severe stomach bleeding in some people.
The label says to use caution and ask a doctor or pharmacist about use if you have certain medical conditions or take certain medicines. It also says to stop use and get medical help right away for allergic reactions, signs of stomach bleeding, or ringing in the ears or hearing loss.
Low Dose Aspirin 81 mg delayed release tablets contain aspirin, an NSAID labeled for the temporary relief of minor aches and pains. The delayed-release design means it is not intended for fast relief of headaches or other symptoms that need immediate relief.
DailyMed label information also includes important safety warnings about allergic reactions, stomach bleeding, Reye’s syndrome in children and teenagers with chicken pox or flu-like symptoms, and use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Always follow the directions and warnings on the package.
